Journey into the heart of Montenegro’s best-loved national park with this trip to Skadar Lake. Sit back and soak up the scenery as we drive through the mountains to the biggest body of water in the Balkans and you can expect mountains, marshlands and wildlife-packed shores.
The trip begins departing from your hotel with drive to Sveti Stefan, where we will stop above the island of Sveti Stefan where we will make a short photo-stop. We continue our drive along the coastline so you can enjoy the view on beautiful beaches and places along. Near Petrovac we turn to the mountain Pastrovska Gora and head to Virpazar. A road that leads over Pastrovska Gora is very attractive for its opening and amazing panoramic view over Petrovac and Bar. That will be our next photo stop. From this point we lose the view on the open sea heading to Virpazar, the most famous place on Skadar Lake. Virpazar is a small traditional town that lies on the place where rivers Crmnica and Orahovstica meet and flow into Skadar Lake. We highly recommend an hour-long boat ride, where guest can see the Albanian side of the lake, than 18th century Lesendro fortress and several islands on the lake.
